“ A+++ food, service, atmosphere was great. Will definitely be back. The chicken tikka was our fave. ”
“ Was in the area for a Dr appt and buying a Christmas gift across the street at Biggs Camera. I had an hour to kill and Indian food sounded good. Not too crowded for lunch on a Tuesday. No wait to be seated and my water came quickly. Ordered a veal lunch special and it came out fairly fast. Interesting mix of background music, mostly in Hindi (?). All visible employees were male, if that matters to anybody. All were attentive and speedy. The meal came on a giant metal platter reminiscent of a cafeteria tray with 5 separate compartments. It was huge. Way too much food for lunch. I like to start with the naan. It came out so hot I actually burned my finger when I tried to pick it up. I have never received naan that was more than warm and I might never go back. So delicious. The platter contained veal, potatoes, a vegetable that I could not identify (maybe plantains) all covered in the same or very similar sauce. I wound up mixing most of it together as I struggled to scoop it up with the naan. Halfway thru I was ready to give up, but I persevered. Actually ran out of time as I had to get to my appointment. This is a nice place that I am happy to recommend. ”
“ Visited with a friend after we came across a social media post sharing that Maharani is the oldest operating Indian restaurant in Charlotte! The lunchtime atmosphere was calm and service was quick. All of the food was delicious and the portions were great. Will definitely visit again for more paneer! ”
“ I've been here 3-4 times and alway had a good experience. I like the atmosphere and food is delicious. I usually order lamb in different variations and all of them are tasty, the meat is tender, and no chewy tendons that many places leave in. Mango lassi is creamy, but not overly sweet. I'm happy that I discovered this restaurant. The owner is friendly and approachable. Definitely recommend ”
“ Weekday lunch here was great! Everything is between $10-14. Mango lassi $3.50. Meal shown was $14. Will be going back! Fantastic food. First time any spice level has been added to Indian food for me. Pictured is chicken tiki masala. Service is quick and food came out fast. There is a shared parking lot, plenty of parking at 11:30am. ”
“ Very good! I got it for a late takeout and was surprised how much food was included. It was piping hot still when I got back to my hotel. Very flavorful and enough for two days for me. The naan and aloo gobi were phenomenal ”
“ I got the lunch special paneer tikka masala with side dishes. I appreciated them serving me at 2:15 for dine in with their 2:30 closing. The positives, the food was reasonably prices and most of it was tasty. The paneer tikka masala was spicy and tasty. Naan, another dish, and a fried appetizer were included. Lots of food for the price, I couldn't finish it. The lunch special included Lentil soup. It was the worst lentil soup I've ever had from any Indian restaurant so I docked a star for that. I wasn't too upset thought because it wasn't expected and just a bonus. ”
